1942 "Orchestra Wives" (Glenn Miller Band)
A backstage drama showcasing the big band music of Glenn Miller and his orchestra.   Features the songs "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo," "At Last," and "Serenade In Blue."  When Gene Morrison's band rolls into town, Connie Ward (Anne Rutherford) is swept off her feet by trumpeter Bill Abbot (George Montogomery).  After marrying him, she travels with the band and their spouses learning about the life as an orchestra wife.  This film depicts a dramatization of actual lives of working musicians.
1953 "The Glenn Miller Story"

Negro League pitcher Bingo Long takes to the road with his band of barnstormers through the small towns of the Midwest in the 1930's.
1985 "Artie Shaw: Time Is All You've Got"
Documentary about the life and music of the band leader and clarinetist, Artie Shaw.  Won Oscar for Best Documentary, Features in 1987 .
